While OurShelves is offering one-time diverse children's book boxes here at Maisonette, OurShelves is also a subscription service and advocacy effort with a dual mission: 1) To deliver expert-curated diverse children's books to your doorstep, and 2) To advocate for the many more diverse books still needed by proving to publishers -- through our collective purchasing power, including you -- just how many of us there are seeking these books. LGBTQ+ mom, Alli Harper, founded OurShelves because it was too hard to find high-quality books affirming LGBTQ+ families like hers -- and so many other kids and families, too.
